We were honored when Katy Perry, the legendary "queen of campy" asked us to elevate the VIP Meet & Greet space for her new residency in Las Vegas. The pop star has a long tradition of creating playful, quirky spaces to interact with her loyal KatyCat fans, including an area to have personal one-on-one time. So our mission was to design and produce visually over-the-top elements that are also easy to transport, as each run of the residency only lasts about three weeks.
Upon entering the meet & greet space, fans are instantly teleported to "PLAY-land" with bright neon, inflatable chairs and sofas, accented with edge-lit acrylic tables, give guests a lighthearted place to sit, relax and have a bite to eat. Adorable mushroom centerpieces, inspired by the show, add a final touch to the seating area. A walk-in lifesize doll box gave fans their first photo op to commemorate the event. For the main one-on-one photo op with Katy, thick, dimensional KATY PERRY, PLAY letters were produced and whimsically suspended with thick acrylic rods giving the impression the words are floating. A large pillowcase of the PLAY-LAND stage covered the wall, providing the perfect backdrop.
