Account Director

Roadwerx is an experiential marketing and event production agency in Milford, CT. We are looking for a passionate, collaborative Account Director that will support the day-to-day management of work for our group of “household name” clients. As the Account Director, you will be a key contributor to the strategic vision, creative development, and execution of events and programs. In this role, you will work with a team to balance shifting priorities, programs, and deliverables to ensure all projects are on time, on budget, and exceed client expectations. You will collaborate with other team members on identifying, planning, and managing key deliverables, activities, budgets, and deadlines for individual projects, as well as review, evaluate and critique creative ideas/output to ensure that work meets client and agency quality standards.

You will also work daily on the planning, development, and delivery of client experiences and contribute to the development, writing and delivery of client presentations, scopes of work, and project proposals for an existing calendar of events plus incremental projects across various client groups and departments.

You will develop internal relationships and partnerships with various disciplines including creative, production, operations, and finance, and work well as an integrated team. We are looking for someone with a proven track record to engage, build and maintain trusted client relationships. You are a solid multitasker who has the leadership, confidence, and quick on your feet mentality with a strategic mindset and the ability to problem-solve.

Some of the Core Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for day-to-day client satisfaction for assigned Programs and designated areas of responsibility

  • Manage the Event Scope of Work (SOW)

  • Make recommendations for course correction of planned activity as needed based on business needs; challenges and results

  • Day to day and first point of contact for all client issues and escalation items

  • Provide input into event post mortem and provide recommendations for continuous improvements and efficiencies

  • Participate in various planning sessions both client-facing and internally focused

  • Onsite event management – Must be excited to travel

Who You Are & What You Will Bring

Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field. A minimum of 5 years of previous event marketing experience, preferably in an agency environment. Experience with Fortune 500 brands. You have managed projects from start to finish (strategy through execution) and you know what is needed to get that done successfully.

Flexibility and Adaptability: You are willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done! You understand that you may be required to work irregular hours, nights and weekends, etc. as dictated by client deliverables and deadlines.

Innovative: Through in-depth business, industry and client knowledge, you drive forward thinking approaches and concepts aligned to and anticipating client’s needs and objectives enabling agency differentiation, identification of new areas for growth and client satisfaction.
